3D Bevel Plasma Cutting Machine
A 3D bevel plasma machine tilts the torch while it cuts, so plate parts come off the table with their weld bevel already cut. A rotating bevel head on a gantry cuts V, Y, X and K bevels with bevel angles from 0 to ±45°, using HD plasma for clean edges. It removes the separate grinding or milling step before welding.

Why bevel on the cutting machine
Most welded plate over about 10 mm needs a bevel. Done by hand, every part goes from the plasma table to a grinder or a bevelling machine, and the angle and land vary with the operator. With a bevel head, the bevel is cut in the same program as the part outline, so the angle is repeatable and the part goes straight to fit-up.
